This page sets out, in full, how returns, withdrawal, and refunds work — in addition to the short summary on our FAQ. This policy applies to orders placed on cofftstudio.com and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under French and EU law.
Your right of withdrawal — 14 days
Under EU and French consumer law, you have 14 calendar days from the day you, or someone you designate, receives your order to change your mind, with no need to justify your decision.
To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw within this 14-day period by email at cofft.studio@gmail.com, quoting your order number. A simple, clear statement is enough, for example: “I would like to return my order [number].”
Once you have notified us, you then have a further 14 days to send the item back to us. The withdrawal period is respected as long as the goods are sent before this second 14-day window closes.
Condition of returned items
To be accepted, returned pieces must be:
- Unused and unworn, in the same condition as received.
- Free of scuffs, marks, or signs of handling beyond inspecting the piece as you reasonably would in a store.
- Returned with all original packaging, dust bag, tags, and any accompanying documentation.
You may handle and examine the item to the extent necessary to assess its nature and features — the same way you would in a boutique. If the item shows signs of use or wear beyond that, we may deduct an amount from your refund to reflect the diminished value.
A note on leather: Crazy Horse leather is a natural, waxed material. Tonal variation, grain irregularities, marks, and the way the surface catches light differently across a single piece are inherent characteristics of the hide. They are not defects and are not grounds for return on that basis alone.
Return shipping
Return shipping is covered by COFFT. Once you have notified us of your withdrawal, we will provide the return address and shipping instructions. Where available, we will provide a prepaid return label.
If you choose to use another shipping method instead of the instructions provided by COFFT, we recommend using a tracked service. In that case, you remain responsible for the parcel until it reaches us.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 14 days — or sooner if you provide valid proof that the item has been sent back before we physically receive it.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Original standard shipping costs are refunded if the entire order is returned. If you selected a more expensive delivery method, only the standard delivery amount may be refunded.
If only part of a multi-item order is returned, initial shipping fees are not refunded unless required by applicable law.
Exchanges
Given the limited nature of each batch, we do not guarantee like-for-like exchanges, for example Espresso for Latte. If you would like a different colorway or piece, the simplest path is to return your original order for a refund and place a new order.
Reach out before returning and we will let you know what is currently available.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
This is separate from your right of withdrawal. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at cofft.studio@gmail.com with your order number and photos of the issue.
Depending on the situation and your preference, we will offer a replacement, repair, or refund. This is in addition to your statutory legal guarantees under French law.
Non-returnable items
Items made or personalized to your specification are excluded from the right of withdrawal, unless faulty. Any other non-returnable item will only be excluded where permitted by applicable consumer law.
How to start a return
- Email cofft.studio@gmail.com with your order number and the item you would like to return.
- We will confirm your return and send the return address and instructions.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging, with all tags and accessories.
- Ship it back using the instructions provided.
- We will confirm receipt and process your refund within 14 days.
